This update features a new Seasonal boss, new weapons, a new Mystery box, Master skill capes, an improved equipment interface and Voting guardian adjustments. Plus the usual misc fixes and improvements!
Meet PkWild's latest boss, Galvek. This boss replaces our very popular previous seasonal event which was held during easter.
Galvek can be very deadly, so make sure you take dragonfire protection in the form of a dragonfire shield or antifire potion!
All players who deal at least 250 damage will receive a Summer pinata.
Summer tokens that are obtained from the pinata as a common reward can be spent in Diango's shop at home, which is where you can purchase two new previously unreleased items.
A minimum of a 25m risk is required to fight Galvek.
Tumeken's shadow and Osmumten's fang are finally obtainable. For now, until ToA is released I have decided to add them to the seasonal event content.
They can either be obtained from the Summer token shop, or from the Summer mystery box.
This new box will be available for a limited time only, while the summer seasonal content is active.
Giving similar rewards to the Easter box, this box can be obtained in f2p ways as well as the store.
It can be purchased from the Summer tokens shop, as a rare reward from the Summer pinata, or from the donator shop for 125 tokens.
Players who have achieved 200m xp in a skill will now be able to wear a master cape in that skill!
These capes share the same stats as their level 99 counterparts, and are primarily just cosmetics. Think of it as bragging rights rather than a perk as such. Besides, getting 200m in a skill will earn you a lot of cash from achievement rewards.
For players that play on the Spawn game mode and cannot obtain combat experience, they will just require level 99 to equip combat master capes instead.
The equipment interface has been re-designed to match OSRS. You can also see your drop rate boost in the 'Other bonuses' section.
In the future, I want to expand this to include set effect boosts toggling plus slayer / undead boosts.
The way that damage dealt to the voting guardian in order to receive a key has been changed
Previously, lots of players would not bother with even using protection prayers, just suiciding then running back. They'd still deal 250 damage overall and receive a key.
This isn't how the boss was meant to function.
Now, similarly to fighting corporeal beast, your damage dealt will show at the top left of the screen.
When you die, this damage is reset.
This means that players should fight the boss properly in order to keep the minimum of 250 damage dealt to receive a key.
The voting guardian's health has also been reduced from 10k to 5k until the server population grows again.
- Fixed well of goodwill interface ID clashing with new resizable settings option
- Ancient godsword special attack visually fixed
- Fixed a bug where previous tournament winner's titles were not resetting after a new tournament winner was announced
- Fixed an issue with armour repairing on the armour stand not showing the correct dialogue
- Saradomin brews now have the correct stat boosts and drains
- Continued with raids progress
- Attack distances fixed for powered magic weapons with built in spells
- Blood key change: Previously, risk protection did not count if a player had a blood key on them
This meant they could be ragged by players in complete spawnables with no risk
Now, risk protection for the key holder is in place, however it is 5x less than what it normally is
- Royal set added to voting rewards shop
- If the server is being restarted instead of an update, it will say 'Server restart' instead of 'System update'
- Loot key clan broadcasts now only show for keys with a value
