Tournaments have been given a bit of a makeover! Starting off with the visuals:
The lobby area has been re-worked. This area is much more compact than before, with still enough space for plenty of participants.
The bank chests to take items from have been replaced with supplies tables. These objects also allow for setting up custom tournament kits!
Custom kits can be assigned for each tournament type. If you want to remove the custom kit and return to the default setup, then you may do this as well.
New tournament types have been added. These are Berserker melee, Obby maul and Max melee.
We are open to suggestions on adding more tournament types, so let us know if you have any ideas!
All tournaments except the OSGP variants are now chosen at random. This means that there should be a lot more variation and enjoyment from tournaments, especially as we want to add more tournament types going forward.
A dedicated tournament history scoreboard object has also been added. Previously, history could be viewed by right-clicking the portal, but many players didn't know this was a feature.
The way that magic and ranged attack speeds are handled has been re-written.
Now, projectile speeds, hitsplat delays and impact effect delays are all far more closely matched to OSRS. This should hopefully make combat feel a lot smoother and more realistic.
Progress is ongoing with weapons such as the dragon throwing axe special attack and will be completed for the next update!
The last spell that a player autocast now saves on logout. In non PvP areas, it also saves for when you switch weapons then go back to a staff which you were using to autocast previously.
The combat tab interface has been updated where it displays the sprite icon of which spell that you are currently autocasting, and it lights up if you have the requirements the same as in the spellbook.
Two major bug fixes with mithril and adamant seeds have been completed.
Firstly, being frozen then planting a seed now moves you from the tile which you were on, as intended.
Furthermore, planting seeds will now check if the next direction attempted is blocked by an object before choosing another direction.
OSRS added an update in 2022 which meant that attacking another player locks them in combat, so they can't be PJed.
This mechanic on OSRS is throughout the wilderness. On PkWild, I have decided to just add this to singles plus combat in the Rev caves.
Discord game activity recognition has been added to PkWild. This means, if you have the setting enabled, it will show as your active game.
Different areas in the game will display the current activity. Currently, this is enabled for:
- In the wilderness
- ::afk (idle)
- In the gambling zone
- At the duel arena
- Scorching bow is now two -handed as intended
- When withdrawing x amount from bank, the ‘enter amount’ popup will no longer reset your bank search
- Added a minimum frame size for the client so it can't be made smaller than the default fixed screen dimensions
- Fixed an issue with yell tag colours causing client crashes and weird behavior
- Surge potion timers fixed
- Clan chat broadcast toggle dialogues now display a tick or cross to show if they're enabled
- Fixed an issue with presets and bank space
